When I was 10 years old, my mother and stepfather purchased a house, marking the beginning of my journey with Labradors. It was then that I welcomed my first dog and developed a profound love for the breed, inspired by Hoss, the dog who captured my heart. This special bond led to the creation of my kennel name, Hossrun, where "Hoss" symbolizes strength and reliability.
Through years of dedicated research, my breeding program's primary focus is on producing puppies for service work, therapy, hunting, and companionship roles. During this time, I have formed a close relationship with my mentor of over 11 years, who entrusted me with the responsibility of nurturing and raising Betty's litter. This experience allowed me to select a puppy of my choice, emphasizing my commitment to prioritizing health and temperament in my breeding endeavors.
My two children, Zachary "Zach" and Hazel, actively engage in the life of dogs. Zach has been involved in dog training since the age of 2, and now almost 13 continues to be a part of training. At 3 years old, Hazel also contributes to training activities and finds joy in participating in the excitement. Eugene, my significant other, takes pleasure in cuddling with the puppies and appreciates their presence. Our furry family members include Betty of course, Mable, a 12-year-old Dane/Shepherd Mix, Wilma, a year old Shih Tzu, and two feline companions named Bk (14) and Brucie (3).
